Nichole Burkhardt, Principal

Nichole Burkhardt is a dedicated educator with a passion for fostering academic excellence and student success. Originally from Minnesota, she moved to Texas in 1998 and has since built a distinguished career in education.

Mrs. Burkhardt earned her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington, followed by a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas Christian University. She began her journey in education as a biology teacher at South Hills High School, where she honed her skills in curriculum development and student engagement.

With a commitment to leadership and innovation, Mrs. Burkhardt transitioned into administration, serving as the principal of S.S. Dillow Elementary. Now in her fifth year as principal and her 16th year in education, she continues to lead with integrity, vision, and a deep dedication to creating a thriving learning environment for students and educators alike.

Her leadership philosophy emphasizes collaboration, academic growth, and community engagement, ensuring that each student receives the support and resources needed to reach their full potential.

 

 

Ylana Rhynes, Assistant Principal

Ms. Rhynes, originally from Louisiana, has dedicated over 32 years to the field of education. She received her undergraduate degree at Grambling State University and her Master's Degree from Texas Woman's University. She began her career as a 3rd grade teacher at S.S. Dillow Elementary and has spent the last 25 years working with students at Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD).

Ms. Rhynes is passionate about fostering a collaborative school environment, believing it to be the cornerstone of successful teaching and learning. She emphasizes the importance of partnerships with parents and community members to enrich the educational experience at S.S. Dillow Elementary.

Outside of her professional life, Ms. Rhynes enjoys shopping, reading, and spending quality time with her family
