Heidi Hardin
I am Heidi Hardin, I teach 5th grade math and science. I am a 2nd career teacher, having spent my first career in manufacturing. I have been teaching for 12 incredible years.
My philosophy of teaching is that learning can be fun. I like to incorporate all types of hands-on activities, where the students don’t even realize they are learning. I love the challenge of helping your students be the best they can be in learning and in life.

Ms. Carolina De La Hoya Marquez
My name is Ms. De La Hoya and I teach 5th grade self-contained. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2020 and earned my B.A. in Science of Teaching. I am very passionate about teaching and believe that education is the key to success. I believe in creating a learner centered environment where students' skills are to become lifelong learners and achieve their full potential. My goal as an educator is to spark the imagination and the desire of students to learn and better every day.

Mrs. Vanessa Soriano
Mrs. Soriano has been in H.V. Helbing since 2011. She has taught third and fifth grade. Mrs. Soriano has been passionate in her commitment to inspire students’ interest in reading and inculcate a sense of self-respect among all students. Her philosophy of education is student centered. She believes that every students is unique, and learns differently. She is determined to meet her students’ individual needs and provides an environment that maximizes learning and individual student performance.
