Miss Alarcón is a third grade bilingual teacher. She previously taught first and second grade. This is her 6th year teaching at H.V. Helbing Elementary.

Maria Galvan
I have been teaching since 2006, beginning my career in Mexico after graduating with a bachelor's degree in Business from Universidad Juárez Autónoma de Tabasco. I later moved to the United States in search of better opportunities. Teaching is a passion for me because allows me to help prepare students for challenges of the outside world. I believe strongly that all students should have equal opportunities to succeed, regardless of their background. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching movies, making crafts, and caring for my cats.
